What Is the Sasol Artisan Learnership?

The Sasol Artisan Learnership Programme 2026 is a formal learnership combining institutional training with on-the-job experience at Sasol’s Secunda operations. Over three years, learners develop the technical skills and work readiness needed to qualify in essential industrial trades.

This is ideal for candidates interested in hands-on technical fields like mechanical systems, instrumentation, plant operations, and electrical work.

Available Learnership Fields

During the programme, you can be trained in one of the following artisan areas:

  • Mechanical Fitter

  • Instrumentation

  • Electrician

  • Chemical Plant Operator

Each placement depends on operational requirements and your qualification match.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, you must:

> Be a South African citizen
> Have a National Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent
> Pass in:

  • Mathematics or Technical Mathematics

  • English or Business English

  • Physical Science or Technical Science
